Every business will need a name and a business license. If you are in the US, each state has its own process for obtaining a business license.

Most coaches decide to use either sole proprietorship or LLC. There are pluses and minuses to each, and certain requirements for each. Nerdwallet has a good graphic that compares the two, and it is included below.
